Phylogenetic research database
When grant support for the CIPRES phylogenetic database was not renewed, the department needed to convert to a paid subscription and prepare to be self-sustaining. Our team developed a marketing strategy that centered around creating a multi-channel digital brand.
A subscription model was developed and operationalized on their existing systems, and a new front-end website was created for promotion.
We evolved their website from a static research portal to a marketing tool and added social media to further reach. Trial users are welcomed with email messaging and receive special promotions throughout their research journey.
Paula is a pro, and we are glad to have found her. She brings her wealth of marketing experience to bear to create a methodical, non-nonsense approach to getting marketing kicked into gear.
